Young-Jun Choi is a doctoral researcher in the GEOTRADE project. He completed his BA and MA in Political Science at Yonsei University, with his thesis analyzing the correlation between economic sanctions and military conflicts. He has also researched the impact of sanctions on scientific and technological innovation. Before joining the project, he worked as a project manager at a startup focused on stealth nanomaterials. His research interests include trade policy, economic sanctions, economic crises, and science and technological innovation at both the national and subnational levels. Methodologically, he is particularly interested in statistical methods for causal inference.
