Double Degree Salzburg – Olomouc
SCEUS runs a Double Degree Programme with our partner-university Palacký University Olomouc – take the opportunity to study not only in Salzburg but spend some time in Czech Republic.
Study abroad in Olomouc and acquire two degrees:
- Master of Arts in EU STUDIES at Universität Salzburg

Mgr. in EUROPEAN LAW AND EU POLICIES at Olomouc University
To be awarded the Double Degree, most courses in this curriculum have to be completed in Salzburg. This is followed by a stay in Olomouc (if possible during the last semester). Your stay in Olomouc may take one semester, or more, if you prefer. In Olomouc you take courses according to the requirements of the Palacky University Olomouc as well as your EUS curriculum at the University of Salzburg and deepen your knowledge especially in European Law.
The master thesis has to be cosupervised from authorized Professors at the Palacky and Salzburg Universities. The master examination will take place in Salzburg, questions will be asked by professors from both universities.
After successful completion of the master examination, a request for both degrees can be made, according to the requirements of both universities.

The Palacký University Faculty of Law continues with the centuries-long tradition of higher law education in Olomouc. Its modern history began in 1991, when it was established as the first post-revolutionary faculty of law in contemporary Czechoslovakia. Its mission is to support the values of freedom, democracy and civil society. It was awarded the Hannah Arendt Prize in this regard in 1996.
Out of all Czech the law faculties, it provides the most sophisticated system of competence and practical training. Beginning already in the first year of study. Its legal clinics are among the top ones on a European scale.
