Christian Klesse
Christian Klesse is Reader at the Department of Sociology at Manchester Metropolitan University (UK). His research interests include consensual non-monogamy, gender and sexual politics, bisexualities, transnational LGBTQ activism and Queer Film Festivals. Christian is interested in exploring from an intersectional angle how intimacies are shaped and contested in political and socio-economic processes. His work is interdisciplinary and often collaborative. He is the author of The Spectre of Promiscuity: Gay male and bisexual non- monogamies and polyamories (Ashgate, 2007), co-editor of the Special Issues on ‘Gender, Sexuality and Political Economy’ of IJPCS (2014) and on ‘Polyamory’ of Sexualities (2006). Recent journal articles have appeared in Sexualities, Signs: Journal of Women in Culture and Society, Sociological Research Online and The Sociological Review.
