Julia Eberle has been an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Science at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg since 2024. She is also Co-Chair of the Education Committee of the International Society of the Learning Sciences.She studied education, psychology and statistics at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich and subsequently completed her doctorate there in the Doctoral Programme Learning Sciences on the topic of ‘Support for Newcomers’ Learning in Communities of Practice – Situated Learning from a Social Network Perspective’. As a post-doc, she worked at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München at the Chair of Empirical Education and Educational Psychology (Prof Dr Frank Fischer) and at the Chair of Biology Didactics (Prof Dr Birgit Neuhaus) and then moved to the Ruhr-Universität Bochum as a temporary academic councillor at the Chair of Educational Psychology and Educational Technology (Prof Dr Nikol Rummel). In 2020-2022, she held the Chair of Teaching and Learning Research at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and in 2022-2024 she held the Chair of Educational Psychology and Educational Technology at Ruhr-Universität Bochum.
