Cal Le Gall is a Postdoc researcher in Comparative Politics at the University of Salzburg. He completed a Ph.D. in political science at the University of Salzburg in 2018, after which he worked as a post-doctoral researcher in the QUALIDEM and GLOBPOL projects at the University of UCLouvain (2018-2021) and as a post-doctoral researcher in the DeVOTE project at the University of Vienna (2021-2023). His research interests revolve around voting behaviour, public opinion, European integration, and globalization, employing both quantitative and qualitative research methods. His work has appeared in European Journal of Political Research, West European Politics and Journal of Elections, Public Opinion and Parties. His current research project deals with the effects of external constraints on the transformation of political participation and aspiration for alternatives to representative democracy.
