Short Bio
Lisa Windsteiger is Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) at the University of Salzburg (PLUS) and an affiliate at the ifo Institute. Her research focuses on behavioral economics, public economics and political economy. She has worked in particular on (perceptions of) inequality, socio-economic segregation and demand for redistribution, and she uses survey experiments to analyse which factors affect public support for (economic) policies. Before joining the PLUS, Lisa Windsteiger was post-doctoral researcher and deputy director of the Ludwig Erhard ifo Center for Social Market Economy and Institutional Economics and Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Tax Law and Public Finance. She holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the Vienna University of Technology, an MSc in Economics from the Institute for Advanced Studies in Vienna and a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics.
