Information on Master’s programs
Master’s programs take three or four semesters to study; upon completion, the academic degree “Master”or “Diplomingenieur (diploma engineer)” is conferred. A completed Bachelor’s, Diploma or Teacher Training Program is required to apply for a master’s program.

Below, you will find information on how to apply for a master’s program at the PLUS, if you have completed your Bachelor’s degree at the PLUS, or at another university.

Prospective Students who have completed their Bachelor’s program at the PLUS
If you have completed your Bachelor’s program at the PLUS and want to take up the continuing master’s program, write us an e-mail via our contact form using your student’s account, stating your matriculation number and date of birth, as well as the intended master’s program.
If you have completed your Bachelor’s program at the PLUS and want to take up a master’s program in a different field of studies, please send us the completed application form as well as the required language certificate (if required). Please note that your completed study program has to match at least 75% of the respective Bachelor’s degree at the PLUS in order to be eligible. The eligibility will be checked by the department. This process can take up to three weeks. It is no problem if your final certificate has not been issued, as long as the completion of studies has been entered into PLUSonline.

Prospective Students who have completed their Bachelor’s program at another university
Prospective Students who have completed their Bachelor’s program at another university always have to submit an application for admission along with the required application documents via our contact-form (PDF-files in high definition) at the Office of Admissions.
The following documents are required:
*Scan of passport or ID-Card
*Diploma Supplement
*Transcript of Records
*Bachelor’s or Diploma certificate (if the certificate has not been issued yet, a confirmation by the University or issuing institution confirming the completion of studies, completed ECTS and date of completion is sufficient)
*Degree certificate (stating the academic degree)
*Link to the curriculum (Study plan)Acceptance to a Master’s degree program is only granted if a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree program at the same educational level has already been completed at an accredited national or foreign postsecondary educational institution or if the respective study program has been defined in the curriculum of the master’s program as acceptable. Bachelor’s studies that match at least 75% of the course material taught in the respective bachelor’s programs at the PLUS can be considered. The respective department at the PLUS will assess your documents to evaluate the equivalency of the content of your studies. The assessment of your qualifications by the department can take up to three weeks.
Applications can be submitted any time during the year. If you want to start your studies in winter semester, you may already apply in May. If you want to start your studies in summer semester, the application can be submitted in October of the previous year.

Language proficiency
For study programs taught in English
Prospective students applying for an English-taught study program have to prove their language proficiency by submitting an accredited language certificate. A list of all accepted language certificates can be found at the link at the end of this page; alternatively, if language proficiency of C1 or higher is confirmed in the secondary school certificate, the certificate is accepted as proof.
