Science: My research interests include 2 areas of psychology: biological psychology (focus: sleep and cognition) and sport psychology (focus: sleep and regeneration in competitive sports). In particular, I try to use longitudinal research designs to investigate the development of various bio-psychological processes (e.g. sleep and (motor) learning from childhood to adulthood). Based on my postgraduate education (clinical and health psychologist, sports psychologist, cognitive behavioral psychotherapist), the transfer of our research work into practice is very important to me (e.g. the project “Healthy Sleep” with the Austrian Health Insurance Fund, or the FWF-funded project “How SMART is it to go to bed with the PHONE).
