Welcome to the Department of Classics!
In Classics you will study and research ancient history, the culture, art and literature of the Greek and Roman world, but also their prehistoric predecessors, especially in the Aegean, and their successive transformations in Late Antiquity, the Medieval period and the Early Modern era.
Our department comprises classical studies in four sections: Ancient History and Mycenology, Classical and Aegean Archaeology, Classical Philology and Rhetoric
