What will I learn?
In this bachelor’s degree programme you will deal with scientific issues of physical and sporting activity as well as the individual and social relevance of sport and exercise. You will acquire a profound core knowledge in sport and exercise science that provides access to international Master’s studies in this field. In addition, you will learn to apply sports science findings to specific target groups. Core issues are: – the development of a physically active lifestyle that aims on the promotion of motor development, health and performance across the lifespan, the design of leisure time, and the prevention of diseases, – the optimisation of the bio-psycho-social performance prerequisites (1) for practising competitive sport, and (2) for coping with the demands of life and work, – the preparation for the use of sport and exercise in a therapeutic context with the aim of deepening training therapy competences in the Master’s programme. The programme follows a multi-, inter- and transdisciplinary approach.
