Episode 2: Career Design Initiative
In this blog article, staff from the PLUS Career & Startup Center and graduates provide insights into the supplementary studies.
Focus
Against the backdrop of ongoing developments in the education market, the demand for academic professionals in the labor market has also changed. The professional world places diverse demands on academics, many of which go beyond technical qualifications. Therefore, acquiring so-called soft skills plays a significant role in personal development.
The goal of the supplementary studies is to enhance the employability of students and graduates, who for the first time can attend courses at all participating universities as part of the supplementary studies.
Target Group
The supplementary studies are aimed at students from:
- Paris Lodron University of Salzburg (PLUS)
- Mozarteum University Salzburg (MOZ)
- Salzburg University of Applied Sciences (FHS)
Students from PLUS can choose to complete either the Basic Module “Personal Performance and Self-Management” (12 ECTS) or “PLUS.Startup School” (12 ECTS) to acquire the supplementary studies “Career Design Initiative.” Regardless of the chosen Basic Module, the Advanced Module “Communication and Teamwork” (12 ECTS) is required to complete the supplementary studies with a total of 24 ECTS points.
Inter-University Cooperation
To strengthen Salzburg as a shared educational location, the supplementary studies Career Design Initiative are carried out in cooperation between Paris Lodron University Salzburg, Mozarteum University, and Salzburg University of Applied Sciences.
If you participate in courses of the supplementary studies at another educational institution, the necessary data (name, student ID number, university email address) will be shared with us to facilitate the process. Learn more about your rights and the data protection policy via the links provided on the PLUS website.
