Online booking of study & reading places on Sundays
for students of the PLUS and the FH Salzburg

Following the successful trial run in June 2024, the main library will once again be open on Sundays at the start of the semester for all PLUS andFH Salzburg as a quiet study space from 10:00 – 18:00. We will start on Sunday, 29.09.2024 – followed by Sundays 06.10.2024, 13.10.2024, 20.10.2024 and 27.10.2024. Bookings for Sunday, 06.10.2024 are possible from Monday, 30.09.2024.

NOTES:
– NO BORROWING POSSIBLE!

– Only a limited number of study & reading places are available and an online booking is required in advance to use them.
– Bookings by non-students of PLUS or FH Salzburg will not be considered and will therefore be canceled immediately.

  • Booking procedure – What do I need to do?

    Bookings can be made from the Mondays before the Sundays in question – e.g. from Monday, 30.09.2024, bookings can be made for Sunday, 06.10.2024. The following button takes you to the booking page with an overview of the bookable areas on the
    1st floor – periodical reading room, 2nd floor – large and small reading room and catalog room.
    Click on the desired area, select the desired period (minimum duration 30 min., maximum 8 hours), the desired learning & reading place in the following form (the respective Sunday is predefined) and click on “Continue →”.
    In the next form, fill in all mandatory fields marked with * – these are first and last name, e-mail address, account ID (student account or library-a-account), user group.  Check the box for the data protection and terms of use and click on “SUBMIT BOOKING” to send the booking request and you will receive a booking confirmation shortly afterwards to the email address you entered. This email confirmation contains the ticket (PDF file as an attachment) and the option to download a mobile ticket (for iOS and Android). Both versions contain a QR code that facilitates the check-in and check-out process. TIP: Downloading the ticket as a mobile ticket on your mobile phone is the easiest way to do this.

  • What happens after the booking?

    A check-in is required at the lending desk of the main library: Show the booking confirmation (digital or print) to our staff at the desk. They will take care of the check-in and then the study space will be available to you for the booked time slot. A reservation without check-in will be automatically canceled 15 minutes after the start of the booked time slot and the study and reading space will be released for online booking again.
    – Note the table number: After check-in, go to the study area you have booked, the tables are numbered accordingly. The table number must match your booking confirmation. If the table is occupied, show the person your booking confirmation. If necessary, please contact our team.
    – Check-Out takes place automatically after the reservation period has expiredIn the interest of all users: If you do not need your reserved study space for the entire reservation period, please contact our lending desk team so that check-out can take place immediately and the study space can be released for further bookings.
