Elsevier
The University Library of Salzburg has signed an open access agreement with the publisher Elsevier. Corresponding authors affiliated with the University of Salzburg can publish open access in Elsevier journals with hybrid option and open access journals without additional costs.
For articles in fully gold open access journals, funding via the Open Access publishing agreement is granted depending on the availability of funds.

How are eligible authors identified?
Authors are identified by the affiliation.
Process
- Eligible publications are identified by the publisher upon submission of the article.
- The author will see the statement “I do not have to pay an Article Publishing Charge” when selecting “Select Gold Open Access”.
They can then select the Open Access publication, which will be free of charge. - The University Library verifies whether the corresponding author is affiliated with the University of Salzburg and approves funding.
- The publication is published open access under a Creative Commons licence.
