Main Library Hofstallgasse
The Main Library includes a stacks library, reading rooms, the University Archives, special collections, the library auditorium, and a library administration area.
To borrow media from the stacks, they must first be ordered in UBsearch. Afterwards, you will receive a provisioning email for each item ordered, after which the media can be picked up at the Circulation & Information Desk.

Main focus
- Introductory and survey literature for all fields of study
- Reference works
- Media on many different topics: From scientific books to novels to cookbooks or travel guides
- Salisburgensien (= media with reference to Salzburg)
- Magazines and newspapers
