Excursion 1: Rivers and Bogs
Saturday, September 23rd, 8:30-17:00. 
One of the two offered field-trips will take you to the bogs and rivers of the Alpine foothills of Salzburg and Upper Austria. We will show you some of the remaining wetland habitats in the lower regions, which are now special protected areas for a lot of Amphibian and Reptile species.
Excursion 2: Limestone Alps
Saturday, September 23rd, 8:30-17:00.
The second field-trip will visit the picturesque limestone Alps of Salzburg. These mountainous regions are habitat for both native salamanders (Salamandra atra and S. salamandra) as well as some other interesting Alpine amphibians and reptiles.
Place and time for both excursions: 8:15 in front of main entrance of the Faculty of Natural Sciences
