You want to become a student at the PLUS? There is a number of scholarships and grants offered for (future) students. Below you will find an overview of these:

Family Allowance
Family allowance is granted until the age of 24 (or in some cases 25) if proof of at least 16 ECTS per academic year is submitted. Family allowance can be transferred directly to the student with the parent’s consent. Information on this topic is available at all Tax Authorities and at the Student’s Service Centre.

Study Grants
Information on conditions, deadlines and application forms can be found here: www.stipendium.at. In Salzburg, the centre for study grants is situated at Franz-Josef-Str. 22, phone number 0043-662-842439.
A useful tool to calculate the amount of the study grant is available here www.oeh.ac.at/stipendienrechner or here www.stipendienrechner.at. Additional advantages for receivers of a study grant include commuting allowances and the refund of tuition fees.

Student’s insurance
Students can be insured with their parents until the age of 26 by submitting proof of their academic achievements at the insurance company. Additionally, students can apply for a student’s insurance at the Austrian Insurance Company (ÖGK). The PLUS will not ask for proof of insurance.
