Bernhard Reicher has been a student assistant at the Devision of Sociology and Human Geography since October 2024. In February 2024, he completed his Bachelor’s degree program in Sociology with distinction at the PLUS and has been enrolled in the Master’s degree program in Sociology since then.

Since 2023, he has been part of the the transdisciplinary project “AlpLakeChange”, funded by the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW), as a project member. The project focuses on the change in biodiversity in alpine waters in the Hohe Tauern National Park, where he is responsible for the creation, implementation as well as evaluation of visitor surveys in order to gain insights of the human-environment relationship in the national park.

In his bachelor’s thesis, Bernhard analyzed hegemonic images of masculinity in Internet pornography.
