Rojin Bagheri works as a research assistant in the Department of Sociology and Social Geography since October 2024. Her research interests include the study of social inequalities, especially along the category of sex and gender. In her PhD, she aims to combine feminist and ecological perspectives in order to critically analyze the social construction of nature. She studied sociology at the University of Vienna, where she specialized in sociology of migration, transnationalism and qualitative social research as part of her bachelor’s degree. She also completed her Master’s degree there with a quantitative study “On the contribution of teachers to the reproduction of educational inequality”. During her time at the Department of Sociology, she worked both as a student assistant and lecturer before conducting research for the H2020 projects COVINFORM and ReIncluGen. She is also involved in different socio-cultural exchange projects, including as a student board member of the Austrian Sociological Association.
