Jojo Attenberger is a student at Paris Lodron University in Salzburg, currently in his final semester pursuing a Bachelor’s degree. His academic focus revolves around media analysis, particularly within the realm of traditional Media. In his bachelor thesis, Jojo delves into the dynamics of transphobia within media, driven by an observation of a concerning trend: the framing of transgender individuals as a threat by influential right-wing figures and the reproduction of these frames by popular media outlets.

Jojo’s aim is to understand the intersection of media, politics, and social issues and his research seeks to understand the role played by major media outlets in the growing politicization of gender identity and the propagation of fear-mongering narratives against trans individuals.

Drawing from practical experience, Jojo has skills in preparing visual material for marketing during his tenure at an NGO in Salzburg. His responsibilities included crafting engaging flyers, posters, and social media content, utilizing visual mediums to convey complex messages.
