Engagement at the PLUS
Professionalization
To ensure innovative yet robust and sustainable scholarship, MML PLUS places emphasis on the training of early-career researchers. Of particular importance here is the interdisciplinary PLUS doctoral school “On the move: People, objects, signs”. Two further doctoral schools also deal focus on topics pertinent to migration and mobility – one at the Salzburg Centre of European Union Studies and the other, “Gender Transcultural”.
Teaching and Internationalization
Many of our members have taught and/or currently teach courses that are part of the PLUS’ signature program of “Migration Studies,” offered since 2012. We are currently internationalizing this program by offering students and faculty members a multilateral ERASMUS exchange program with a number of IMISCOE institutions (in force 2020). The internationalization will move forward with a perspective of a double degree program in Migration Studies (expected start in 2022).
Lecture Series
MML PLUS aims to offer a lecture series to promote our work on campus while engaging in conversations with relevant stakeholders outside the university. The lecture series will reflect the wide range of topics and disciplines covered by MML PLUS.
