Short Bio
Dr. Holger Faby has been a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Sociology and Human Geography at the University of Salzburg in Austria since 2018. His scientific expertise lies in the field of social geography. He studied geography at the University of Trier and received his doctorate from the Technical University of Dresden in Germany in 2003.

His research focuses on qualitative-interpretative methods and the integration of visual media in empirical social research. He pays particular attention to videography and auto-videography as well as the presentation of research results in documentary formats. Dr. Faby is also in charge of the department’s podcast “ Sichtbar Hörbar”.
