Chiara Cabrele studied Chemistry at the University of Padova (Italy) and worked as Diploma student in the group of Prof. E. Peggion (1994). She then joined the group of Prof. A.G. Beck-Sickinger at the ETH-Zurich as PhD student. After a postdoctorate (EU-Marie-Curie) at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry in Martinsried-Munich with Prof. L. Moroder, in 2003 she started her independent research at the University of Regensburg (Germany) (DFG Emmy-Noether Grant). In 2008 she joined the Ruhr-University Bochum (Germany) as associate professor of Organic Chemistry. In March 2012 she has received the endowed professorship “Organic Chemistry for Protein Research” from the University of Salzburg.

Mario Schubert studied Chemistry at the Free University of Berlin (Germany) and worked as Diploma student in the group of Prof. J. Elguero (CSIC, Madrid, Spain) and Prof. H.H. Limbach (1997). He then joined the group of Prof. H. Oschkinat at the FMP-Berlin as PhD student. After a postdoctorate (Alexander von Humboldt) at the UBC in Vancouver (Canada) with Prof. L.P. McIntosch, in 2004 he moved to the ETH-Zürich, joining first the group of Prof. B.H. Meier and then the group of Prof. F. Allain. In July 2014 he will move to the University of Salzburg and set up bioNMR-based protein research.
