Research:
My main research interest is a better understanding of the relationship between cognitive processes and functional and structural neuroantomy. In particular, I am investigating this relationship in the context of altered cognitive processing and behavior in brain diseases in neurological patients and in mental disorders such as schizophrenia, addictive behavior and mood disorders, but also in developmental and learning disorders such as dyslexia. For this purpose, I work primarily with functional and structural magnetic resonance imaging data. I am also implementing new methodological developments in functional and structural MRI and supporting other research groups in the implementation and analysis of MRI studies in cognitive neuroscience.
