I am a scholar at the Doctoral College “ Imaging the Mind” and currently work in the field of social Neuroscience. My main focus is on the societal landscape of threat. Here, I explore the mechanisms of societal threats such as terrorism, poverty or illnesses, pandemics and climate threats and the implications of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) for threat research. Of particular interest to me is the individual reaction to these broad scale threats and possible protective functions within systems such as social power or certain hierarchical positions. Before I joined Prof. Jonas team in October 2019, I studied at the University of Salzburg, Universidad de Granada, University College London and worked for the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Germany to the United Nations in New York.
