The Push*Back*Lash*  research consortium cordially invites you to the Forum on Democracy and Gender Equality on September 25, 2025, in Salzburg, Austria. The Forum will take place from 9:00-19:30 and bring together leading academic experts on gender equality and democracy, civil society organizations and policymakers to discuss and contextualize project findings and impact, showcase toolkits, and co-create evidence-based solutions and recommendations.  

Am 27. April 2025 finden in Wien Wahlen für die Gemeinde- und Bezirksvertretung statt.  Bürgerinnen und Bürger entscheiden darüber, welche Partei die Bundeshauptstadt in den kommenden Jahren regieren wird. Für viele Wählerinnen und Wähler stellt sich daher die Frage: „Welche Partei passt zu mir?“

The Annual Conference provides a forum for discussing current research, bringing together junior and senior political scientists from Austria and beyond. This year’s theme, The Liberal World at the Crossroads, invites contributions from all fields within political science, including Austrian politics, comparative politics, European Union politics, international relations, political methodology, and political theory. All methodological approaches are welcome.

In mid-January, students from Austria, Hungary, and the Netherlands gathered in Amsterdam to turn a rehearsal space into a stage for change. Through Legislative Theatre, they developed a powerful performance and policy proposals to address sexual harassment in universities.

Dem Politikwissenschaftler Andreas Dür von der Paris Lodron Universität Salzburg (PLUS) wird für sein innovatives Forschungsprojekt GEOTRADE zur Verknüpfung von Handelspolitik und Sicherheitspolitik ein „ERC Advanced Grant“ in der Höhe von 2,5 Millionen Euro für fünf Jahre zuerkannt. Das hat der Europäische Forschungsrat (ERC) heute (Do, 11.4.) bekannt gegeben.
