Anna completed her Master’s degree (M.Ed.) in Psychology and Philosophy as well as German at the University of Salzburg with a Master’s thesis on the importance of philosophy in educational laboratories. After gaining some experience as a German teacher and the elective subject ‘Philosophising with children’ at a secondary school, she is now completing her doctoral studies as part of the FWF project ‘Knowledge in Crisis’. She is working on questions of the didactics of philosophy from a life-world, problem- and science-orientated perspective. Under the supervision of Bettina Bussmann and David Lanius, her dissertation focuses on epistemic competences – what they are and how they can be promoted and developed across disciplines and in different places of learning. By building a bridge between theory and practice, she is developing teaching materials that play a central role in making philosophical research accessible.
