In May 2025 the philosopher Ms. Connell Khimaja, M.A. from the University of the West Indies at Mona, Jamaica will be a guest lecturer at our Department of Philosophy
together with Ms. Dr. Thurnwalder and will hold an English-language course on the Topic:
“Identity, Selfhood, and Creolisation. A Globalised Perspective from the Caribbean”
Dates and Times: Tuesday, May 6, May 13, May 20, May 27, June 3, 2025 (start: 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.), in lecture hall 107.

From November 25 to 29, 2024, we received a visit from Tanzania. We welcomed a total of three employees from Jordan University College (JUCo) to our department.
While Dr. Jacek Gorka (responsible for international affairs at JUCo) and the two administrative staff members had some discussions about expanding our long-standing cooperation, they had the opportunity to gain an insight into secretarial and library work at the University of Salzburg.
