Thomas Blaschke named among the top researchers for Computer Science in Austria
Prof. Thomas Blaschke, Professor at the Department of Geoinformatics at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg (PLUS), has been ranked tenth on the Research.com list of top computer science researchers in Austria. The research portal has also named Blaschke as Computer Science Leader for Austria in 2023.
The annual list of leading scholars aims to give the academic community visibility and recognition for their research contributions in each field. The metrics are citation-based and as many as 14402 researcher’s profiles were examined and ranked. Across the two fields of Environmental Sciences and Computer Science, Blaschke’s publications have been cited over 35,000 times. The most cited article, titled “Object based image analysis for remote sensing”, which was published in the ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing in 2010, boasts nearly 5,000 of these citations.
