We experience diversity whenever different people live together. Everyone is of equal value – no matter what religion, gender or origin the person has. Diversity can take many different forms.

The positive perception and promotion of diversity is the focus of the work of the Diversity Team of the City of Salzburg. Specifically, the Diversity Team focuses on women, people with disabilities, youth and integration and has been organising the Diversity Month for 10 years with the aim of bringing together different people from different social and ethnic groups. This year, too, from 19 January to 25 February 2023, it will be shown how colourful Salzburg is and how much potential lies in this diversity. To this end, various diverse events are again on the programme. Among other things, readings, workshops, cinema films and cabaret evenings offer the possibility of exchange and information on the topic of diversity. Admission to all events (except cabaret) is free. In addition, all events (with the exception of Zusammenkommen/Welcome to Salzburg) are accessible without barriers. Translation into sign language is also possible upon request.
