The main objective of his new book ‘Restraining Great Powers. Soft Balancing in World Politics’ is to expand and test soft balancing arguments to historical eras (Concert of Europe, League of Nations) and the emerging power, China.
T.V. Paul is James McGill Professor of International Relations in the Department of Political Science at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. He is a Past-President of International Studies Association (ISA) (2016-17).
