Univ.Prof. Dr. Josef Trappel, Head of the Institute for Communication Studies, has been appointed part-time Professor at the University of Bergen, Norway, from 1 January 2014. There, he is a faculty member of the Department of Information Science and Media Studies. He will teach PhD students and hold seminars. Furthermore, he will assist and advise the University of Bergen in their attempt to set up a Journalistic Innovation and Design Lab, which is planned together with partners from the media and graphic industries in Norway. Josef Trappel intends to strengthen the relations between the two Institutes and to establish a cooperation which includes students and staff exchange and joint research endeavors.
