One was a collage of light microscopical photos made by PhD student Maximilian Ganser showing planktonic organisms collected at the Côte d’Azur (Mediterranean); unfortunately, one fourth of the original picture was cut off for the exhibition. The second photo was made during a sampling trip to the Côte d’Azur (Mediterranean). It shows the PhD student Maximilian Ganser who drags a fine-meshed plankton net collecting planktonic organisms, specifically ciliates, a group of protists; the photo at the exhibition showed only the upper three fourth of the submitted original.
