Paris Lodron University Salzburg welcomes exchange students
More than 300 exchange students from over 50 countries will start their studies at Paris Lodron University of Salzburg (PLUS) at the beginning of the winter semester 2023/24. To help them get started, the International Relations Office has organised two orientation weeks before the start of their studies, during which exchange students receive all the important information they need for a successful and enjoyable stay in Salzburg.
PLUS exchange students come to Salzburg from five continents to spend one or two semesters abroad. This is made possible either through direct cooperation between universities and European exchange programmes, such as the popular Erasmus+.
The orientation weeks take place both virtually and in person to reach as many exchange students as possible. The comprehensive programme provides an overview of the many study options and locations in Salzburg. Students are also given tips on everyday life at university and in the city of Salzburg. There is a proven cooperation with the Students’ Union (ÖH) as well as with the Erasmus Student Network (ESN).
Evening reception of all Salzburg universities
For the first time, an elegant evening reception will be held on 27 September 2023 in cooperation with all Salzburg universities. The new students will be personally welcomed by their rectors and by representatives of the city and province of Salzburg.
Peter Mayr, Director of the International Relations Department at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg: “Our exchange students of today are the ambassadors of the city of Salzburg in the world of tomorrow. It is therefore important for us to provide them with the best possible support as they begin their studies and to showcase the university and the city of Salzburg.
