Research Creates Integration: Action “IT for Refugees”
Offer refugees a meaningful and sustainable way to everyday employment – that is the goal of the joint action “IT for Refugees” of the Research Studios Austria Forschungsgesellschaft (RSA FG) and the Inter-faculty Department Geoinformatics, University of Salzburg (Z_GIS). In a working laboratory, refugees with IT skills can apply their skills and reorient themselves in a new research environment.
Lecture Series on “Politics, History and Culture”
Every Thursday, from 17:00 to 19:00, in Hörsaal 381 at Rudolfskai 42, a number of lectures on “Politics, History and Culture in Austria in the 20th and 21st Centuries” will be presented in English. The introductory lecture will take place on 8 October, and will be delivered by University Professor and Vice-Rector, Sylvia Hahn.
University of Salzburg Awards Prizes for Outstanding Student Work
On Wednesday, 23 September, the University of Salzburg, in cooperation with the Emperor Shield Foundation, awarded for the fifth time the Dr. Hans Riegel Award for outstanding student work. This year, prizes were awarded for a total value of 3,600 €.
