University of Salzburg: NaWi Science Day
With the attendance of award-winning young scientists, an extensive program took place on 2 June, as the first NaWi Science Day came to an end. This new event of the Faculty of Natural Sciences puts world-class research at the center and places the focus on comprehensibility; that is to say, Open Science.
7 June: Lecture on “Russia-Ukraine-Media War (East-West Passages)”
A few days after the protests began at the Kiev Maida in early December 2013, the infamous Russian TV presenter, Dmitry Kiselyov, was awarded a symbolic Oscar for “nonsense and lies.” From the beginning, the media played a very important role in the still simmering conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
Honorary Senator Dr. Franz B. Humer
For his outstanding contribution, the University of Salzburg bestowed the title of Honorary Senator upon Dr. Franz B. Humer, a native of Salzburg, on 22 April 2016.
