Theodor Körner Prize 2016
The Theodor Körner Fund supports young scientists and artists in Austria who excel and whose important contributions to their respective disciplines can be expected. Birgit Birnbacher, a graduate of the University of Salzburg, was awarded in the field of literature for her novel, “Ich in anderem Shirt” (working title).

FWF Honored University of Salzburg Anglicist
Sarah Herbe, Anglicist from the University of Salzburg, has received a two-year grant under the Elise Richter Program. The FWF supports this program for highly qualified scientists in their career development with regard to a university career.

Chemistry Lecturer Admitted to the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC)
Dr. Raphael Berger, chemistry professor at the University of Salzburg, was recently admitted as a “Fellow” of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). The RSC is the largest European Organization for the Advancement of Chemical Sciences and is under the patronage of the Queen of Great Britain.
