Professor Werner Paar, Department of Physics and Materials Research, received an honorary doctorate from the University of Salta, Argentina, during a ceremony in late November 2014. The hosts were the Rector and Dean of the University of Salta.

Prof. Dr. Klaus Hock will speak on “Islam in the African Context”. Lectures are offered by the Centre for Intercultural Theology and Study of Religions.

Anna Helene Laimer, BSc, MSc, received the Hans-Stegbuchner Prize for outstanding academic achievements. She was awarded the prize for her Master’s thesis, “Lower Estimates for the Lebesgue Functions”.
