A research project extending over many years of the Salzburg National Park Fund, in cooperation with the University of Salzburg, has now been completed with a book on lichens in the Hohe Tauern National Park.

For four years, Renate Hvižďák and Beate Raidel have offered a course as practical support for those students who are teaching German as a foreign language at the University of Salzburg.

Climate change will also dramatically affect Salzburg. Previously, experts warned at a conference held in Salzburg that by the year 2100, the average temperature could rise by up to four degrees.
