17 November: Inter-comprehension – an Early, Exciting Research and Practice Field (Lecture and Workshop)
In the 1990s, several projects were carried out that promoted the parallel learning of languages as a “language family”, and thus, the concept of inter-comprehension was brought into the world of language and multilingual didactics. In the beginning, a consensus about the nature of inter-comprehension seemed to prevail, although early on, a comparison of the definitions with the project practice revealed existing tensions.
