Since 2005, the ideal of a harmonious society in contemporary China is one of the main ideological visions of the current policy. It is repeatedly pointed out that the concept of social harmony is due to Confucius.

The function and intended use of clothing is as commonplace as aesthetic production. The different designer fashion shows illustrate complexity and ambiguity, making clothing a subject of exciting visual and poetological reflection. This workshop is the first in a series of events conceived through interdisciplinary efforts.
