Football: Matches behind closed doors brought less strife and more goals

During games when there are no fans in local football stadiums, deep acoustic insights into the inner workings of coaches can clearly be heard in TV broadcasts, due to the lack of background noise.Nevertheless, emotional outbursts and arguments among players and coaches have decreased considerably overall, in corona-related “behind closed door matches”. Salzburg researchers calculated this using the example of games at FC Red Bull Salzburg. In contrast, more goals were scored across Austria.

For Student Teachers: Summer School 2021
