Water is the basis of life on Earth, for without water, life is not possible. Worldwide, clean drinking water is becoming less and less available; this trend is worsened by the exacerbation of global warming. Our human body is 70 percent water. Access to clean drinking water was recognized in 2010 by the General Assembly of the United Nations as a human right.
