Burkhard Gniewosz teaches quantitative methods during the Winter Semester 2016/17 at the Department of Educational Science, Faculty of Humanities, at the University of Salzburg. The research fields of Professor Gniewosz lie in empirical childhood and youth research, and empirical education research.

The city of Salzburg cohosts the Wissenstage in cooperation with the University of Salzburg, among others, on 4 – 5 November, 2016. Different research projects will be presented. Visitors can, for example, test a flight simulator, try 3-D printers, or measure brain activity.
