To celebrate 70 years of American studies in Salzburg, the Austrian American Association for American Studies and the University of Salzburg will host the conference “Where Are You Going? Where Have You Been? The Changing Nature of American Studies”, 3 – 5 November, in Salzburg’s Schloss Leopoldskron.

Archaeologists discovered the ancient bronze figure from the second century after Christ in the late summer during excavations in the industrial area of Neumarkt-Pfongau.

In July 2017, the Botstiber Institute for Austrian-American Studies awarded an annual grant to Assistant Professor Joshua Parker (American Studies) for the project “Flowers in the Snow: Austrian Refugees in Manhattan”.
