Regulations regarding quarantine at PLUS as of 1 August
As of 1 August 2022, new Austrian Covid-19 regulations no longer require people who have tested positive for Covid-19 but do not show symptoms to quarantine. Instead, they will be required to limit contact with other people for 10 days. As the health and safety of our employees is extremely important to us, the following rules continue to apply to PLUS staff: Staff members who have tested positive are to stay away from their workplace and to work from home if possible.
CIVIS Alliance looks to the future as EU approves funding for 4 more years of university cooperation
This week the European Commission announced that CIVIS is among the European University Alliances selected for another 4 years of funding. The total amount granted is 14 million euros. This news ensures that the Alliance and our 10 member universities, including the PLUS, can push ahead with our ambitious vision and stay at the forefront of Higher Education reform in Europe.

Salzburg. 4. August: The Ulrich Winkler Award 2022 goes to Dr. Ikenna Paschal Okpaleke for his dissertation „Transformation through Dialogue: Ecumenical and Interreligious Identities in Nigeriawas” (Lexigton: Minneapolis, 2020). A member oft he curatorium, Paul Hedges (S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, NTU, Singapore), states: „This thesis demonstrates both complexity and originality in its design and implementation, moreover, in line with the award criteria, it is well placed by the candidate within a narrative of their previous and ongoing work. Tackling both ecumenical/ intra-religious (Catholic-Anglican), as well as interreligious (Christian-Muslim) dialogues, the thesis sets out to show how parallels and developments between these layers may be both theoretically and practically combined. “
