The Country Receives New Teachers. Contract Signed for Standardized Teacher Training in “Cluster Mitte”
It is the last step for the start of the new teacher training as of next autumn: today, Thursday, 30 June, 2016, is the scheduled signing of the contract for the constitution of the “Cluster Mitte”–grouping; the way is finally clear for a new era of teaching.
Research Expedition
Assoc.-Prof. Stephen Wickham and two students, Anita Sinner and Philipp Wenta, arrived in the Azores late July, 2016, and look forward to the upcoming expedition aboard the RV Meteor. The aim of the research vessel is the upwelling region off Mauritania and Senegal. On the way they will explore the planktonic food web of this area.
