In a large-scale research project, Salzburg psychologists are investigating how emotions determine our eating behavior. A surprising result of the project, launched in 2015 and running until 2020, is that the number of people who eat more during stressful times is about the same as the number of people who eat less during stressful times.

Around 3,000 people are currently suffering from dementia in the city of Salzburg, with their immediate environment including approximately 10,000 people – spouses, children, friends, neighbors – who also are affected by dementia.
