8 May: Sweet Spot. Lounge for Electro-acoustic Music: MINIMAL
The series SWEET SPOT sees itself as a forum for classical and completely new productions of electro-acoustic music in Salzburg. In a lounge atmosphere, completely new but also “classics” of the genre are heard and collectively discussed. Each concert is accompanied by a short introduction and the opportunity to discuss what has been heard over a glass of wine.
Agorà: “The Current Relations between China and Austria”
Significant political events took place in China and Austria last year. The 19th Congress of the Chinese Communist Party set the course for the future of China. On the other side of the world, in Austria, a new government has formed. Both countries should take advantage of the newly emerging opportunities to steadily expand and deepen their bilateral relations in the future.
Women’s Scholarships and Prizes Awarded to Young Scientists from Salzburg
On Friday, 13 April, the University of Salzburg awarded the biologist, Verena Lentsch, and the geologist, Eva Wagenhofer, the Marie Andessner Prize for their outstanding scientific Master’s theses. Dissertation scholarships were awarded to political scientist, Sarah Dingler; Germanist, Anna Estermann; Romanist, Birgit Füreder; and musicologist, Magdalena Marschütz.
