On 1st September 2023, the EU project “Promotion de l’éducation plurilingue – Partage de pratiques, formation et information (PEP)” (Erasmus+ programme, KA220), dedicated to the theory and practice as well as the promotion of multilingual education in Europe, started. The Language Centre is co-coordinating the three-year project, which is funded with a total of €400,000.

More than 300 exchange students from over 50 countries will start their studies at Paris Lodron University of Salzburg (PLUS) at the beginning of the winter semester 2023/24. To help them get started, the International Relations Office has organised two orientation weeks before the start of their studies, during which exchange students receive all the important information they need for a successful and enjoyable stay in Salzburg.

The Centre for the Study of the Christian East (ZECO) of Paris Lodron University of Salzburg in cooperation with the International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS) of the UNESCO Silk Road Programme, held a high-profile academic conference in Samarkand, Uzbekistan in September 2023. In a unique interdisciplinary synopsis of theology, religious studies and history, archaeology, philology, manuscript studies and epigraphy, the latest research on the “Church of the East” was exchanged.
