PLUS Master’s student selected by the EU as Horizon Europe Young Observer
Cansu Demir – a master’s student at the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Human Interfaces at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg – has been accepted into the HORIZON Europe Young Observer Programme of the European Union. She is one of 51 master’s students across Europe who have been given this special opportunity. Cansu Demir will be supporting the European Research Executive Agency (REA) with her expertise in Computer Science and Human-Computer Interaction.

Armenian Studies at the PLUS supporting research on Armenian cultural heritage
This year, for the first time, Armenian Studies at the Center for the Study of the Christian East at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg, under the direction of Armenologist Jasmine Dum-Tragut, awarded five young researchers with scholarships to study the spiritual and cultural heritage of Artsakh (Karabakh).

Since the discovery of autism in the 1940s, it has been known that many autistic individuals have a strong relationship with music. Therefore, efforts have been made to use music-based interaction and communication to help them achieve various non-musical goals. A growing body of research has documented the effects of music therapy.
